The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has partnered with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to set up helpdesks nationwide to resolve registration challenges for 2025 UTME candidates.
According to JAMB’s weekly bulletin released on Monday, the decision followed a strategic meeting on March 7, 2025, between NIMC Ekiti State Director, Mr. Ogundare, and JAMB’s Ekiti State Coordinator, Mr. Olukayode Dada.
“The helpdesks will address critical issues such as incorrect date of birth, state of origin discrepancies, and missing records,” Ogundare said. “By decentralising solutions, we can prevent delays that could cost candidates their admission opportunities.”
JAMB’s Ekiti State Coordinator, Olukayode Dada, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing its necessity. “This move is long overdue. Many students struggle with registration setbacks due to unresolved identity issues. The helpdesks will ease their burden and ensure a smoother process,” he stated.
Dada also urged NIMC to establish additional collation centers in rural areas. “No student should miss out due to location-based challenges. Expanding access will bridge the gap,” he added.
