The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr Adamu Aliyu SAN, has assured staff of improved welfare before the end of 2025, emphasizing the Commission’s commitment to motivating personnel for better service delivery.
According to a statement sent to Africa Health Report on Wednesday by the spokesperson for the commission, Speaking at the opening of a two-day sensitization workshop, Aliyu reaffirmed that concrete plans are in place to enhance staff welfare, both during and after their service. He described this as a top priority for 2025, recognizing its role in fostering efficiency and excellence.
He also urged participants to uphold the Commission’s integrity by delivering services efficiently and ethically. The workshop featured sessions on the ICPC Service Charter, Code of Ethics, and staff responsibilities in maintaining transparency and accountability.
Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, National Coordinator of SERVICOM, encouraged staff to adopt the right attitude towards work, stressing that professionalism and accountability are key to effective anti-corruption efforts. She highlighted the importance of efficient complaint handling in preventing service failures and corruption.
The Head of ICPC’s SERVICOM Unit, Mrs. Azuka Ogugua, commended the management’s support for service delivery, noting that the ICPC Chairman received a 2024 SERVICOM Award—the first of its kind for an ICPC Chairman. She urged staff to remain dedicated, reminding them that “service must not fail” under their watch.
