Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing quality healthcare, emphasizing that access to good healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege.
Speaking on Wednesday at the commissioning of a newly upgraded pharma-grade warehouse in Makera, Governor Sani highlighted his government’s efforts to enhance healthcare delivery.
He noted that these efforts have received both national and international recognition, earning the state 10 awards.
The newly commissioned warehouse is expected to significantly improve healthcare services by ensuring the continuous availability, proper storage, and efficient distribution of essential medical supplies across the state.
Governor Sani disclosed that Kaduna was among the first states to pay the required 15% counterpart funding for the facility’s upgrade.
He also announced plans to renovate and upgrade warehouses in Zones 1 and 3 to the same pharma-grade standard.
Governor Sani expressed appreciation to development partners, including the Global Fund, UNICEF, Fidson Healthcare, and Emzor Group, for their contributions.
He specifically commended Fidson Healthcare for organizing the warehouse’s storage system and the Emzor Group for providing insurance coverage for the facility.
The Kaduna State government continues to prioritize healthcare reforms, ensuring that residents have access to quality medical services through strategic partnerships and infrastructural improvements.
