The Oyo State government has announced a fare increase for its Pacesetter Transport buses plying the Lagos-Ibadan route, effective February 1, 2025. According to a statement posted on the official X handle of Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services on Friday, the new fare will be N5,000.

The management explained that the fare adjustment is necessary to continue providing quality transport services. “We would like to inform our valued customers about a change in our pricing structure for Ibadan and Lagos, effective February 1, 2025,” the statement read.

The Oyo State Government had earlier announced the introduction of air-conditioned buses for the Lagos-Ibadan route during the second week of January, offering modern amenities at an affordable fare of just N3,200.

The buses are equipped with free WiFi and charging ports, and operate at specific times daily from Eleyele in Ibadan and Ikeja Bus Terminal in Lagos. “Buses to Lagos from Ibadan leave at 7 am, 10 am, 1 pm and 4 pm daily… All buses are fully air-conditioned with free WiFi and charging ports,” the statement added.
