Tinubu’s Wife, Oluremi Leads Triple Elimination Campaign for Disease-Free Future

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, has reaffirmed her dedication to enhancing the health of women and children nationwide by introducing the Free To Shine Triple Elimination Campaign.

Speaking at the event in Ilorin, Kwara State, the First Lady emphasized the need for a collective approach to eliminating mother-to-child transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis in Africa.

Mrs. Tinubu said, “This campaign goes beyond raising awareness; it calls for action. We need to recommit ourselves to protecting our children’s lives and fostering a generation free from disease.”

The initiative, part of a joint effort by the African Union (AU) and the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), receives backing from international health partners.

The launch was attended by the spouses of state governors and important development partners, highlighting the importance of a coordinated approach in fighting the issue.

Mrs. Tinubu highlighted the importance of action from all stakeholders—including health workers, community leaders, and policymakers—to guarantee that every child is supported.
