Terror Alert: Kano Police Warn of Planned Attacks

The Kano State Police Command has issued a security alert, warning residents about suspected terrorist plans targeting public gatherings in strategic locations within the state. In a press release dated January 24, 2025, the Police Command urged citizens to exercise caution and avoid crowded areas to prevent potential attacks.

AHR gathered that intelligence reports indicate the likelihood of terrorist activity. In response, the Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has heightened measures to protect lives and property.

To counter the threat, the police have deployed a specialized team from the Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear units to key locations.
