Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have successfully rescued the wife of former Assistant Inspector General, Hakeem Odumosu.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the rescue on his official X handle on Thursday morning (today), adding that the abductors were killed, and ransom was recovered from them.
The rescue operation is a significant achievement for the police force, and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has commended the police operatives and the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for a job well done.
The rescue comes after the former AIG’s wife was abducted last Thursday at the entrance of her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State. The police’s swift response and successful rescue operation have sent a strong message to kidnappers and other criminals.
