NEMA, Fire Service Contain Yola Oil Mill Fire Outbreak

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in collaboration with federal and state fire services, contains a fire outbreak at the Yola Oil Mill Nigeria warehouse, located at KM 10 along Yola-Numan Road in Adamawa State.

In a statement released on Thursday via their official X account (formerly Twitter), NEMA states that the fire breaks out on Wednesday at around 2:00 pm.

The blaze is fueled by highly flammable materials, including compressors, rubber, and LNG cylinders, causing intense flames and multiple explosions.

After several hours of coordinated efforts, NEMA and the fire services successfully bring the fire under control.

No casualties are reported, but the incident results in the destruction of millions of naira worth of goods and appliances.
