NLC Chairman Pledges Collaboration with Police for Enhanced Security

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Comrade Sunny James, has assured the readiness of the NLC to work closely with the Akwa Ibom State Police Command to foster a safer and more secure environment for all residents.
According to a statement released on Friday by the Public Relations Officer of the Police State Command, Timfon John, comrade James stated this during a courtesy visit to the State Headquarters at Ikot Akpan Abia. He commended the Commissioner of Police, Baba Mohammed Azare, for his efforts in maintaining law and order and noted that collaboration between the Police and the NLC has greatly contributed to peace and stability in the state.
 In response, Azare expressed gratitude for the visit, emphasised his commitment to strengthening the relationship with the NLC and highlighted the importance of effective communication in ensuring public safety.
The Commissioner encouraged the dissemination of contact details for key officers to ensure that every household has access to vital assistance and information when needed.
