FRSC Team to Represent Nigeria in the 2025 Africa Cup Winners Competition

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Female Handball Team has achieved a historic feat by winning the Ardova Premier League for the fifth time, earning them a continental ticket to represent Nigeria in the 2025 Africa Cup Winners Competition.

The FRSC announced this achievement in a statement signed by the Corps’ Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshall Olusegun Ogungbemide on Saturday

The team’s unbeaten run in the tournament, winning all 18 matches, is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport.

While receiving the trophy from the team, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed commended their tenacity, unmatched talent, and excellent skills.

“Elated by the victorious outing, the Corps’ Marshall, Shehu Muhammed while receiving the trophy from the team, commended their tenacity, unmatched talent and excellent skills” Ogungbemide noted

The Corps Marshal also pledged his continual support to sporting activities to encourage fitness amongst personnel.

This achievement adds to the FRSC sporting teams’ impressive record in 2024, which includes wins in the NUJ FCT Correspondent Chapel football tournament and the Corps Marshal 1st Edition Paramilitary football competition.
