President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Professor Iya Abubakar, a renowned mathematics professor, on his 90th birthday.
In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Saturday, President Tinubu commended Professor Abubakar for his remarkable services to the nation, acknowledging his contributions to the fields of Mathematics and Computer Science.
Professor Abubakar is an accomplished educationist who served as the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, Minister of Defence in the Second Republic, and Senator representing Adamawa North between 1999 and 2007
“President Tinubu commends Senator Abubakar for his services to his fatherland at different times in his career, acknowledging his achievements in the academia where he made foundational contributions to the fields of Mathematics and Computer Science.” Onanuga noted
In his congratulatory message, President Tinubu also prayed for Professor Abubakar’s robust health, so he can continue to render useful services to the nation.
