NIS Trains 34 Officers on Digital Hacking Prevention

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has concluded a 4-day training program for 34 officers of the ICT and Cyber Security Directorate.

The training, which took place from December 10 to 13, 2024, aimed to equip the officers with the necessary skills to prevent and tackle digital hacking activities, as disclosed by the Service’s Public Relations Officer on Friday in Abuja

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training held at the service’s Headquarters, the Deputy Comptroller General AJ Umanah, who represented the Comptroller General emphasized that “The training is a proactive measure by the NIS to protect its cyber space”

“I urge the participants to utilize the skills gotten for the advancement of ICT in the Service,” Umanah added

The training was facilitated by HUAWEI, and the NIS expressed gratitude for their collaboration.

The ACG in Charge of ICT and Cyber Security, EE Okoto, assured that the skills acquired by the participants would be utilized to enhance national security through the protection of the Service’s cyber space.
