Nurses employed by the Ogun State Government have expressed their gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for implementing the new minimum wage and the 25% Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) adjustment.
This development has significantly improved their salaries, bridging the gap between their earnings and those of federal-level nurses.
At the 2024 End of Year Party and Interactive Session, Director of Nursing Services, Mr. Abiodun Olakanmi, applauded Governor Abiodun, assuring improved service delivery from nurses.
Mrs. Adejoke Bello, Ogun State Chairman of the National Association of Nurses and Midwives, praised members’ professionalism, emphasizing self-care to avoid burnout.
Deputy Director, Department of Nursing Services, Mrs. Oluremi Mosuro, encouraged nurses to continue serving humanity, noting that “to whom much is given, much is expected.”
Governor Abiodun’s administration has prioritized healthcare, deploying healthcare workers to public schools and implementing initiatives to improve health care delivery.
