NSA, Police Announce Crisis Response Simulation in Abuja, Enjoin Residents Not to Panic

The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the Nigerian Police Force have notified residents of a scheduled crisis response simulation exercise in Abuja.

The drill will take place at Idu Train Station on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

In a joint message, the ONSA and police urged the public to remain calm, emphasising that the exercise aims to enhance emergency response procedures.

 “This simulation is essential to ensuring the preparedness of security agencies and the public in handling potential crisis situations,” said the statement. “We assure residents that there is no cause for alarm.”

The exercise will involve various security agencies and emergency responders testing their readiness for potential crises. Authorities are advising all individuals in the vicinity to be aware of the activities but to avoid any unnecessary panic during the event.
