Yobe to Establish New School for Students with Disabilities

The Yobe State government has announced plans to establish a new secondary school specifically designed for students with disabilities.

This initiative aims to provide inclusive education opportunities for students with special needs within the state.

Previously, students with disabilities in Yobe State were often sent to schools in other states, such as Maiduguri.

However, the government’s commitment to inclusive education has led to the decision to establish a dedicated secondary school within the state.

The announcement was made on Tuesday (today) by Professor Adam Idris, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, during a visit by the Community of Practice (CoP) team.

The CoP team advocates for transparency and social accountability in governance.
