Niger Police, DSS, Judiciary Support EFCC’s Anti-Corruption Fight

The Niger State Police Command, Directorate of State Security (DSS), and the judiciary have assured the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of their support in the fight against corruption and economic crimes.

According to a post from the EFCC’s X handle on Tuesday, during a visit by the Acting Zonal Director of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, Dr. Benedict Ubi, the Niger State Commissioner of Police, Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, and the State Director of the DSS, Usman Bello Ibrahim, pledged their readiness to engage in joint operations and training with the EFCC.

Dr. Ubi, who represented the EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between the EFCC and other law enforcement agencies to combat corruption and economic crimes.

The Chief Judge of Niger State, Hon. Justice Halima I. Abdulmalik, also assured the EFCC of the judiciary’s support, promising to dedicate two judges to handle EFCC cases.
