The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, announced the immediate suspension of Engr. Hadi Ahmed, Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), on Thursday.
The reason for Ahmed’s suspension was not disclosed, and no further details were provided by the minister’s office.
In a statement from Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, it was confirmed that the suspension is indefinite.
“The Executive Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad, has been suspended indefinitely,” the statement read.
Olayinka added that Ahmed is required to immediately hand over his duties to the Director of Engineering Services at the FCDA.
The move has raised questions about the circumstances surrounding Ahmed’s removal, but no further comments have been made by Wike or the FCDA at this time.
