DIA Urges Greater Use of Technology in Combating Security Threats

The Nigerian Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) has urged the implementation of cutting-edge technology to address new security threats throughout the nation.

This position was highlighted during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Chief of the Defence Intelligence Conference in Abuja.

In a message delivered by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, the DIA emphasized the importance of technology as a valuable asset in internal security operations. General Musa remarked, “It’s essential that we adopt modern technological tools to improve our intelligence-sharing and better prepare our security forces for present and future challenges.”

The event highlighted the need to enhance partnerships between military and security agencies, as participants called for strong intelligence-sharing practices.

Additionally, the Defence Headquarters and Ministry of Defence assured defence attachés of their commitment to addressing the challenges faced in their respective offices, promising prompt and effective solutions.
