Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has officially reopened the Bamalli Nuhu Maternity Hospital after extensive renovations.

The move is part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to reduce maternal and child mortality rates in the state.

In a statement released on Thursday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf expressed satisfaction with the upgraded facility.

He noted that the hospital was in a dilapidated state when he assumed office, making it a priority for immediate improvement.

“Today, we witness the fruits of that commitment,” he said during the re-opening ceremony.

The Governor urged hospital staff to maintain the newly installed equipment and ensure the facility remains clean.

He emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare services to the people of Kano.

Reiterating his administration’s commitment to healthcare, Governor Yusuf announced that contracts have been awarded for the renovation of all General Hospitals across the state.

To further support healthcare delivery, the Governor distributed essential medical supplies to hospitals statewide during the event.
