In a move to strengthen the federal cabinet, the Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointments of seven ministerial nominees, as recommended by President Bola Tinubu.
The confirmation, announced on the Senate’s official X account on Wednesday, aligns with Section 147 of the Nigerian Constitution, which empowers the president to appoint ministers.
The newly confirmed ministers include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Bianca Odinaka Ojukwu, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Jumoke Oduwole, and Suwaiba Said Ahmad.
According to the Senate, “President Tinubu’s request reflects his commitment to building a robust cabinet capable of driving his administration’s agenda for national development.”
