Jigawa Tanker Inferno: Kano Governor Commiserates with Victims

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Jigawa State following the tragic fire incident in Majia, which claimed over 100 lives and left more than 70 individuals with varying degrees of burns.

In a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf described the incident as a heart-wrenching tragedy, marking a significant loss not only for Jigawa State but for the nation at large.

“We received with deep shock the news of the devastating fire in Majia town, Taura Local Government Area, Jigawa State, resulting in the loss of many lives and the hospitalization of numerous victims.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Kano State, I extend our deepest sympathies to Governor Umar Namadi, the Government and people of Jigawa State, especially to the families the deceased and community of Majia.

“May Allah SWT grant eternal peace to the souls of the departed, speedy recovery to those injured, and may we never witness such a catastrophe again,” the Governor prayed.
