Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, on Friday, honoured his commitment to improving educational infrastructure by providing 1,000 desks to Governor’s College, Kano.

During a visit to the school two months ago, Governor Yusuf observed students sitting on the floor due to the shortage of desks. He immediately pledged to address the issue by providing furniture to create a more conducive learning environment for the students.

The governor’s administration has now delivered the promised desks, greatly enhancing the conditions at the school. In a statement by governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, explained that the gesture reflects Governor Yusuf’s dedication to the educational sector and the welfare of students across the state.

The chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the school, Alhaji Muhammad Sani, expressed his gratitude for the governor’s intervention, praising his efforts to prioritize education and provide essential resources to schools.

The donation is part of the governor’s wider initiative to improve Kano State’s educational facilities, ensuring that schools are well-equipped to deliver quality education to all students.
