Kano to Host 2025 Nigeria Computer Society National Conference

Kano State has been selected to host the 2025 Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) National Conference.

The announcement was made during a visit by NCS officials to the state government.

Speaking on behalf of the state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, his deputy assured the NCS delegation of the state government’s unwavering support for the conference.

He emphasized the importance of technology in today’s world and highlighted the opportunities that the conference would provide for Kano State and the Northern region.

The deputy governor expressed confidence that the state would provide a conducive environment for the conference and urged the organizers to leverage the event to promote technology education among students and youths.

He also congratulated Dr. Muhammad Sirajo Aliyu, a native of Katsina State, on his election as the new president of the NCS.

Dr. Aliyu, the NCS president, expressed his excitement about bringing the conference to Kano.

He noted that the state’s commercial hub status and its strategic location in the North would attract significant investment from foreign countries attending the event.
