In preparation for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage in 2025, the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced an initial deposit of N8.4 million for intending pilgrims. This early requirement aims to streamline the registration process and ensure a smooth Hajj experience for all participants.

The Director General of the State Pilgrims Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, made the announcement during a meeting with local government center officers.

He emphasized that the initial deposit is in line with the guidelines set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), ensuring transparency and fairness for all pilgrims.

To facilitate the registration process, the board has commenced the collection of the 2025 Hajj fare. Interested individuals can make their deposits through bank drafts and submit them to their preferred Local Government Hajj Center Officers.

In a statement released by the board spokesperson, Alhaji Suleiman Dederi, intending pilgrims were urged to adhere to the payment schedule and submit the necessary documents, including eight passport-sized photographs, a valid international passport, and a personal bank account.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, offered prayers for all intending pilgrims, seeking divine guidance and assistance in making their Hajj payments.

He also called upon Local Government Hajj Center Officers to work diligently to secure and manage the allocated seats for their respective areas.

With a significant number of Hajj seats allocated to Kano State, the board’s efforts to ensure a well-organized pilgrimage are commendable.

The combination of early planning, clear guidelines, and dedicated local government support bodes well for a spiritually enriching Hajj experience for the people of Kano.
