Akwa Ibom Governor Names Daughter as Interim First Lady After Wife’s Death

Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has named his daughter, Helen as the Acting First Lady after the passing of his wife.

The announcement was made on Friday, October 4, during a condolence visit to Uyo by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, along with other notable figures.

In a heartfelt reminiscence of his late wife, Governor Eno expressed his profound sorrow: “I married her at the age of 19 and I was 22. I affectionately referred to her as Oluwa-Kemi, as she was genuinely a blessing from God. We faced numerous challenges together, and her absence is an unimaginable loss for me.”
