Independence Anniversary: Tinubu to Address Nigerians in Nationwide Broadcast Tuesday

President Bola Tinubu is set to address the nation on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 7 a.m. in a nationwide broadcast to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary.

The broadcast is part of the government’s efforts to celebrate this significant milestone.

This information was made contained in a press statement released on Monday and signed by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

All television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are advised to tune into the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria to broadcast the President’s message.

This will ensure that Nigerians from all corners of the country can join in the celebration and hear the President’s vision for the nation.

In preparation for the anniversary, the Federal Government has declared Tuesday a public holiday.

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the government, congratulating Nigerians at home and abroad on this special occasion.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo praised the resilience and hard work of Nigerian men and women, acknowledging that their sacrifices will not go unrewarded.

As Nigeria marks its 64th year of independence, Dr. Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of unity in building a better future.

He encouraged citizens to reflect on the labour of past heroes and be inspired to work together towards a united and prosperous Nigeria.

With this message, Nigerians are urged to remain steadfast in nation-building and strive for a brighter future for all.
