BREAKING! Labour Party Olumide Akpata Loses Own Polling Unit

The Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, has been defeated in his polling unit (PU) 11 in the September 21 governorship election.

The results of the election are being countered at different polling units.

The result from PU 11, Ward 06, Oredo LGA in Benin City, the capital of Edo, shows as follows; PDP: 41

LP: 32

APC: 19

Olumide Akpata scored 32 votes.

The PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo is leading with 41 of the total votes cast, while the APC candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo came a distance third position, having scored 19.

Africa Health Report AHR confirmed that results of the Saturday poll are beginning to trickle in to the collaction centre.
