The Police Command of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has acknowledged a viral video featuring a woman who is purportedly held at Top View Hotel in Wuse, Abuja, on September 17, 2024. The individual believed to be involved is suspected of being an internet fraudster and is accused of detaining the woman for ritualistic reasons.
In a statement posted by the FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said, on her official X handle on Thursday night “The FCT police command for all intent and purposes awaits the NSCDC to hand over all parties for commencement of diligent and discreet investigation.”
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is currently holding the suspect but has not yet handed them over to the police for additional investigation.
The police have promised that they will provide updates on the investigation at the appropriate time.
