The National Youth Skills Programme was officially launched on Thursday by the Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Ibrahim.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Ibrahim emphasized the programme’s key objectives, stating, “The key goals are to reduce youth unemployment by 20 per cent in the next five years and achieve up to a 50 per cent increase in youth-led enterprise.”

She also highlighted the government’s approach to ensuring inclusivity, adding that “regular assessment, feedback loops, and data analysis” would be used to refine strategies and ensure that “no one is left behind.”
