The newly appointed Director General of the Department of State Services, Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi officially took office on August 28, 2024.
Oluwatosin was warmly welcomed by the outgoing DG, Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi, who briefed him on pertinent matters and shared memories of their past collaborations.
Both leaders addressed the Management and Staff of the Service, with the former DG urging cooperation with the new leadership for success.
Mr. Ajayi emphasised the importance of unity, discipline, and professionalism among the staff in fulfilling their duties.
Committing to working closely with stakeholders, Mr. Ajayi pledged to tackle the challenges facing Nigeria’s economic, political, and security landscapes to achieve peace and stability for development.
During the ceremony, the symbolic handing over of the Service flag and other insignias of office took place, marking the official transition of leadership.
The new DG then toured the National Headquarters, engaging with various sections and encouraging staff to uphold vigilance, resourcefulness, dedication, and loyalty to the Service and the nation.
