The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, has reiterated the agency’s dedication to safeguarding public health.
The NAFDAC DG made the disclosure on Wednesday, at the 2023 NAFDAC Awards, Recognition, and Retirement Ceremony of some members of staff.
During the event, 138 employees, including 42 staff members instrumental in securing the World Health Organization (WHO) Pre-Qualification for NAFDAC’s Central Drug Control Laboratory, were honoured for their exemplary service.
Professor Adeyeye commended the staff’s unwavering commitment, stating, “Your efforts have touched millions of lives in ways that may never be fully quantified.” She emphasized the significance of their work, highlighting the WHO Pre-Qualification as a crowning achievement.
The ceremony also bid farewell to retirees, acknowledging their years of service and dedication to excellence. Professor Adeyeye encouraged the staff to take pride in their work, stating, “Every task you complete contributes to our collective mission.”
She urged the staff to renew their commitment to excellence, particularly in light of new challenges and opportunities.
The event concluded with a call to action, encouraging staff to innovate, push harder, and strive for continuous improvement.
