“Four Men in White Minibus Attacked Lagos Monarch’s Son, Stabbing Him to Death”— Police

“Four armed men in a white minibus attacked him, shooting and stabbing him to death.” The Lagos State Police Command has explained how the first son of the Ojomu of Ajiran land, Tijani Akinloye.

The police said he was shot and stabbed to death by gunmen on Monday along Chevron Drive in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, has disclosed that the attack happened around 12:30 p.m.

Hundeyin said that a distress call was received reporting that a man, later identified as Demola Akinloye, 50, was assaulted while driving his black Toyota Corolla near the Bourdillon Court Estate gate.

The PPRO further said that police officers who arrived at the scene recovered an expended cartridge, and Demola’s body has since been taken to a morgue in Ajah for preservation and an autopsy.

The case is now being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba for further investigation. (With Additional Report by Agency)
