Abia Sets for Infrastructure Boost as Gov Otti Launches Road Project

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, is set to flag off the construction of the Ohafia to Arochukwu Road (Highway) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

According to a press statement released by Ukoha Njoku Ukoha,

Chief of Press Secretary to the Governor of Abia State on Sunday, the ceremony, is scheduled for 12:00 noon at Old Soldier Junction, Ebem, Ohafia, and marks a significant milestone in the governor’s Accelerated and Even Development Agenda.

According to the statement, the project aims to reconnect Arochukwu to the state and provide easy access for farmers to transport their produce to state markets. It said the initiative fulfils one of Governor Otti’s campaign promises to the people of Abia State.

The noted that members of the public are invited to witness the event, requesting that guests be seated before the governor’s arrival.

The construction of the Ohafia to Arochukwu Road is expected to boost economic development and improve the lives of residents in the area. The flag-off ceremony marks the beginning of a new era of infrastructure development in Abia State under Governor Otti’s leadership.

The statement read in part, “In line with the Accelerated and Even Development Agenda of the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, and the fulfilment of his Campaign Promise to Ndi Abia:

“You are cordially invited to witness the flag-off ceremony for the Construction of the Ohafia to Arochukwu Road (Highway) to reconnect Arochukwu back to the State and grant easy access to farmers to bring their farm produces to the State Markets.

“This epoch making event is scheduled to take place as follows:

“Date: Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

“Time: 12:00 Noon Prompt.

“Venue: Old Soldier Junction, Ebem, Ohafia.

You are requested to be seated before the arrival of  the Executive Governor.”
