President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the conversion of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia to the Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital, Nasarawa. This decision follows a request by the Nasarawa State Government.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, announced the approval via a press statement shared on X and made available to Africa Health Report (AHR) on Wednesday.
“The conversion of the health facility into a federal teaching hospital will significantly enhance the training of students in medical and allied sciences, and it will also improve healthcare delivery in the state,” stated Ngelale.
Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the social welfare and healthcare security of Nigerians, emphasizing that his administration will continue to invest aggressively in the healthcare sector.
