The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa has urged the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to collaborate on advancing technological development and strengthening the economy.
General Musa made the appeal during a visit by TETFund’s Executive Secretary, Arc. Sonny Echono.
He emphasised education’s critical role in enhancing human capacity and improving Armed Forces’ efficiency. “Education is crucial for effective service delivery,” he said, praising TETFund’s support for military institutions and pledging continued backing from the Armed Forces for educational advancements.
Echono acknowledged the military’s dedication to national service and its support for educational institutions despite security challenges.
He expressed TETFund’s eagerness to engage in research and technological innovation with DICON and other sectors. “Collaboration with DICON and various sectors is key to achieving our national goals,” Echono stated.
