“You Will Meet The Strongest resistance of your lives” – Presidency Threatens Protesters

Dada Olusegun, the Special Adviser on Social Media to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has issued a stern warning to those intending to protest or destabilize Nigeria.

In a statement posted on his X handle, Olusegun emphasized that any attempts to “burn the country down” would meet with the strongest resistance from the silent majority who supported President Tinubu in the recent elections.

He said that this resistance will not come from security agencies alone but from the broader public who has given their mandate to Tinubu for his four-year term.

This warning has sparked considerable debate on social media. Many users have expressed their frustration with Olusegun’s statement, arguing that the focus should be on addressing Nigeria’s pressing economic issues rather than threatening dissenters.

Critics suggest that the government should prioritize resolving the significant economic challenges faced by millions of Nigerians instead of issuing threats. They argue that such rhetoric only exacerbates the current discontent among the populace.

Supporters of Olusegun’s statement believe that the warning is necessary to maintain order and discourage any attempts to incite violence. They argue that the “silent majority” will defend the country’s stability and support the administration’s efforts to address various national issues.

The federal government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has voiced concerns over alleged plots to destabilize the country and blamed the proposed August protest on the opposition, especially the supporters of Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate in the last year general elections.
