President Bola Tinubu has authorised the reconstitution of Governing Councils and Boards of federal universities, polytechnics and colleges of education for effective management nationwide.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Nnamdi Mbaeri and sighted by the African Health Report on Friday.
Mbaeri stated “The approval is geared towards ensuring effective management.”
The approval comes barely a month after the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) decried the failure of the Federal Government to appoint Governing Councils for federal universities
