The newly appointed female president of the Pediatrics Association of Nigeria (PAN), Ekanem Ekure has sheded light on the challenges confronting child health in Nigeria.
According to World Bank data, Nigeria has an estimate of 40 million children who are living in extreme poverty, six out every 10 children experience some form og violence, 10 percent of boys are victims of sexual violence with 23 million child brides.
Ekure urges all health stakeholders to address the issues ranging from insufficient healthcare and the socioeconomic plight of children and works towards achieving a sustainable solution so every child in Nigeria has access to quality healthcare services and a chance to thrive.
