The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has reported a significant variation in Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) prices across Nigeria.
The highest prices were recorded in the northern states, with Kogi leading at ₦797.78 per litre.
This information was disclosed by NBS on its website and reported by Africa Health Report (AHR) on Thursday.
Other states with steep prices include Nasarawa at ₦778.89, Zamfara at ₦754.29, Taraba at ₦751.89, Borno at ₦743.91, Adamawa at ₦741.47, and Yobe at ₦735.00.
In contrast, the least expensive PMS prices were found in southern and central states. Lagos had the lowest price at ₦602.55 per litre, followed by Niger at ₦633.75, Ogun at ₦647.14, Kwara at ₦650.00, Oyo at ₦660.33, Ekiti at ₦661.67, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at ₦670.00.
