Just In: JAMB Releases Additional 531 Out of Over 64,000 Withheld Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of an additional 531 results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), bringing the total number of released results to 1,842,897.

This comes after the board had initially withheld the results of 64,624 candidates for investigation.

In a statement made available to Africa Health Report, JAMB’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, stated, “As promised, the Board is proceeding with the screening of over 64,000 withheld results. It has, however, released additional 531 results, taking the total number of results released to 1,842,897.”

In addition to the released results, the board also identified 92 cases of examination misconduct, an increase from the initial count of 81. The board is also addressing cases of unverified candidates and is expected to provide further updates on the matter.

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, had previously announced the release of the 2024 UTME results on April 29. However, the withholding of a significant number of results raised concerns among the affected candidates and their families.
