FX: FG to Scrap P2P on All Exchange Platforms

The Federal Government has plans to remove the Peer to Peer (p2p) on all Exchange Platforms

This is confirmed in a virtual meeting on Monday by the Director General of the Security and Exchange Commission, Emomotimi Agama.

Agama said this move is to tackle the manipulation of the foreign exchange of the Naira in the foreign exchange market following the investigation of crypto exchange in recent months.

The P2P feature on the exchange platform allows users to buy and sell without interference from the third party which was renowned by the former president after the ban on crypto in 2021.
