The Minister of transportation, Said Alkali has declared free train rail services to commence the workers Day celebration
This is confirmed in a statement by the director of press of the ministry of transportation, Muhammad Tahir Zakari on Monday 30th April.
“To encourage and drive the usage of the train service, the Minister declared a 4-day free train ride from 1st May, 2024 to 4th May, 2024 with commercial services expected to kick start on Tuesday, 7th May, 2024”. The statement partly reads.
Alkali emphasizes Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) commitment to offer better services, while in his short ride to Commission train service from Port-Hsrcourt to Abia also adding that containers can also be transported via this channel from Port-Harcourt to Aba.
