The Nigeria Exportation Promotion Council (NEPC) has moved to create more exportation of palm oil to quell dependence on crude oil.

“The palm oil industry has faced challenges over the years, including fluctuating prices, competition from other oil-producing nations, and environmental concerns associated with deforestation and biodiversity loss.
“Despite these challenges, Nigeria remains a major player in the global palm oil market. The government has taken steps to promote sustainable production, Practices and increase yields to meet growing domestic and international demand”. NEPC said.
