Tinubu Meets Dutch Prime Minister Rutte Discusses Boosting Trade Opportunities

President Bola Tinubu, and Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands, has met at The Catshuis in The Hague to strengthen economic relations and seek out opportunities for collaboration.

They discussed the potential of utilizing Nigeria’s abundant resources and young population to promote long-lasting economic development.

A statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President Media and Publicity, on Thursday and obtained by African health report, revealed this information.

Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s opportunity to excel in the worldwide clean energy market due to its significant lithium resources. He stressed the importance of forming strong collaborations across different industries, notably solid minerals, to access advantageous prospects.

Speaking about migration, Tinubu emphasized the need to generate opportunities for Nigerian youth in their own country. Through investments in education and access to credit, his government seeks to enable young Nigerians to actively participate in the country’s progress and deter irregular migration.

Prime Minister Rutte praised President Tinubu’s economic reforms, which have boosted international investor confidence. Dutch investors have promised substantial investments, including a $100 million contribution to a waste-to-wealth industrial plant in Lagos State.

The meeting ended with both leaders confirming their dedication to enhancing the relationship between Nigeria and the European Union. They highlighted the significance of promoting mutually beneficial economic connections to ensure lasting prosperity.
