The New Moon marking the end of Ramadan was not seen in Saudi Arabia.
Abdullah Al-Khudairi, who confirmed sighting the Shawwal crescent, reported on his social media account on Monday.
According to him, visibility was difficult due to cloudy weather conditions.
“The new moon was not observed in Saudi Arabia, so Eid Al Fitr will be observed on Wednesday, 10th April 2024.
The Nigerian government had announced that Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, will be public holidays to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr festival.
The declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement released on Sunday and signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Aishetu Ndayako.
