FG Installs I-DICE Programme C’ttee to Start $617.7m Investment

The Federal Government (FG) has set up a technical Committee on $617.7 million Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (I-DICE) programme

The Vice President, Kashim Shettima inaugurated the Committee in Abuja on Wednesday to redefine the digital and creative landscape in the country.

“We’ll embark on a journey of innovation, collaboration, and boundless opportunities. A journey that holds the power to redefine the trajectory of our nation’s digital and creative landscape,” he said

I-DICE Programme is a joint effort between the government and international bodies including the Bank of Industry (BOI), African Development Bank (AFDB), French Development Agency (FDA), Islamic Development Bank (IDB)  to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in digital technology and creative industries to support the government’s job creation efforts, especially for young people.

Shettima, commends all bodies involved in making I-DICE a realization, the ministry of Finance

and  members of the program coordination Unit, over the past year, including its establishment, procurement of fund managers, and engagement with ecosystem stakeholders.
