FRSC Advises Drivers to Obey Traffic Regulations during Easter Celebrations

The Federal Road Safety Corps has urged drivers and all road users to follow the prescribed road safety regulations while celebrating Easter.

The FRSC Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, conveyed this message on Saturday in a congratulatory note to Christians for this year’s Easter festivities. The message was signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Jonas Agwu.

He emphasized that serious implementation of this measure could prevent fatalities and property damage.

Biu encouraged drivers to embrace the messages of love and compassion associated with the Holy Week and the resurrection of Christ.

“If people were to follow the example of Jesus Christ, the reckless endangerment of lives and destruction of property on the nation’s highways due to impatience could have been prevented.

Biu advised public to not disregard safety regulations during the festivities.

“Both the faithful and the general public should adhere to the rules during the celebration to further progress the corps’ mission of making the highways safer for everyone to use, rather than disregarding them.

He also encouraged Christians to devote their prayers during the festive season to the well-being of our country, while also reaffirming the Corps’ dedication to maintaining its current progress in reducing road accidents

He revealed that commanding officers nationwide have been instructed to remain vigilant during the festivities, offer full assistance to the public, and focus on addressing any emergencies that may occur.

He urged the public to work together with the agency by reporting any road or other emergencies they come across to the FRSC, in support of their efforts to create a safer road environment.
