Dollar Selling for N1290/$, BDC operator Flays Social Media Claim

Following the alleged report by an X user @duchessmabbound confirming that dollar rate is lower at the black market. It stated,

“This morning that at Zone 4 Abuja, along the Sheraton Hotel, dollar is selling at N1,000 – $1. Abdulsalam BDC is selling N900 if buying over $5000 There’s a mad rush to dispose of dollars at Zone 4. The dollar in the parallel market is presently selling at a lower price than the official market”.

However this Africa Health Reporter (AHR), reached out to a Mr.Baffagobeer, a FX trader at Zone 4 who refuted that it was all social media rumors that is currently selling at N1290 and he is currently ready to sell at that rate.

“It all social media rumors and I am current selling at N1290 and I am ready for business” he said.

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) released a circular on Monday disclosing that it will be allocating $10,000 to Bureau de Change (BDC) operator at N,251/$.
