854 Children Die in North-West- MSF

Médecins San Frontières also known as Doctors Without Boarders, decries the humanitarian crisis in the North-West of Nigeria, where 854 children died in their facility

The organization released a statement affirming that the crisis needs swift attendance and laments on the lack of recognition while stating that these crises emanated from malnutrition and impact of armed conflicts on the society

Ahmed Bilal, head of MSF mission states that urgent response is needed to quell these crisis, across Zamfara, Sokoto, and Katsina state

“We have repeatedly expressed our concerns to the UN and donors about the alarming and deteriorating humanitarian crisis in the northwest,” said Bilal. “The lack of recognition of the crisis is having a severe impact on the health and humanitarian needs of the population, and delaying the response which is desperately needed,” he said.
