The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, in his message to Muslims in Nigeria on the occasion of Ramadan on Monday, has urged them to include their country in their prayers.
Ramadan fasting, observed by Muslims globally, commenced on Monday in several countries, including Nigeria, following the moon sighting.
Abbas emphasized that there is no better time to pray for Nigeria than during this holy month, emphasizing the country’s urgent need for divine intervention.
In a press statement signed by his special adviser on media and Publicity Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Abbas called on not only Muslims but all Nigerians to unite in prayer for the nation’s well-being, urging support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in addressing the multifaceted socio-economic and security challenges confronting the nation.
Additionally, Speaker Abbas urged prayers for those abducted by various armed groups across Nigeria, who remain in captivity.
“May Almighty Allah (SWT) accept our prayers and supplications as an act of Ibadah, and grant us the grace to navigate through this turbulent time as a nation,” he said.
